Today’s innovative technology more efficiently makes achieving that great smile easier with aesthetics and with less discomfort than ever before. Our state-of-the-art facility features low friction, self-ligating brackets, resulting in more comfort and efficient tooth movement.

We offer one of the latest advances in dentistry with digital radiography (X-rays). Not only are they friendly to the environment, they are much safer than traditional X-rays. Digital radiographs reduce radiation exposure by 90 percent.

Infection Control and Sterilization

Your health is important to us, and our practice follows the most advanced guidelines for instrument sterilization and infection control from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the American Dental Association (ADA), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

We utilize state-of-the-art sterilization equipment that destroys all contaminants. Using our Heat Sterilization System, each instrument is cleaned, sterilized and used on only one patient. Handpieces and burrs are sterilized to kill microorganisms that might be present. We test our sterilization units to make sure they are working properly.

Disposable instruments are discarded after use. All plastic instruments that cannot be discarded are sterilized overnight in a chemical solution. The staff of Peavy Orthodontics disinfects all chairs, X-ray equipment and other surfaces in the treatment area. We change gloves, masks and caps between patient visits.
