Appointments

During active orthodontic treatment, we will need to see you on a regular basis. Although a growing number of our patients are adults, the majority of our patients are school age. As far as possible, and to ensure that children miss the least amount of school, the few long appointments are usually made during school hours, while shorter adjustment appointments are made after school.

Please plan to come five minutes prior to your appointment to allow sufficient time to check in on our computer and brush your teeth!

We make every effort to be on time for our patients, and trust our patients to extend the same courtesy to us. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please contact our office 48 hours in advance so that this time may be offered to a patient on our list. Cancel only in an emergency. It is difficult to reschedule you since our appointments are made weeks in advance.

Office Hours

Monday – Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Fridays are not normally days for regularly scheduled appointments; however, the office is open for calls, questions, scheduling, and orthodontic emergencies.

Late Arrivals and Rescheduled Appointments

We understand that unforeseen circumstances may cause you to change or overlook your appointment. Every appointment is vital to the success of your treatment outcome. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to reschedule. We will accommodate you by offering you the first available appointment. Please remember that missed appointments may lengthen your estimated treatment time.

Each procedure in our office takes a specific period of time and late arrivals affect our schedule. We will still serve you if you arrive late, though we may not be able to complete the work. If you will be arriving late, please call our office so we can make appropriate arrangements.

"HouseCalls"

You will receive a recorded message or email from our “HouseCalls” program the evening before your appointment. The message will remind you of your scheduled appointment time. If there is a problem or concern with your appointment or treatment, you will have a chance to leave a message. We listen to the messages upon arrival every morning. If the “HouseCalls” system is unable to connect (i.e. busy phone circuits, power failure), please refer to your appointment ticket to avoid confusion or missed appointments.

We also are committed to never leaving our patients on hold for any longer than thirty seconds, however, in the event you are, we have installed an informative message-on-hold system to educate our patients about our practice of orthodontics.
